POLICE continue to target and crack down on those peddling deadly drugs on the streets of Derry.
Over the weekend, PSNI officers in an intelligence-led operation recovered substantial quantities of Class C drugs.
A number of homes were searched under the 1971 Misuse of Drugs Act.
As a result, and four people were arrested and taken to Strand Road PACE custody suite for questioning.
The PSNI have described weekends busts and arrests as an “operation into the misuse of drugs” in the Galliagh and Shantallow areas of the city.
A PSNI spokesperson confirmed said four people had been charged in connection with the seizures.
Two of them have faced Derry Magistrates’ Court and remanded in custody.
