POPULAR Radio Foyle broadcaster Enda McClafferty will be on our BBC television screens a lot more these days.
The Derry reporter has now joined the political desk as a correspondent.
His switch has been welcomed by Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness who asked journalists at Stormont Castle to day to look after him.
The Foyle MLA said: “He’s from my own city and I want you all to look after him.”
Enda cut his teeth on the now defunct Sunday News before eventually moving into broadcasting.
He has presented the breakfast show on Radio Foyle and has stood in for Stephen Nolan on the Nolan Show.
But Enda has also been at the forefront of investigation journalism, probing the drugs scene in Derry to province-wide benefit cheats and crooks for the award winning BBC Spotlight.
We wish Enda well in his new job.
