THREE people were plucked to safety following a car crash in Derry.
Firefighters had to used cutting equipment to free three people from a car after it crashed at a roundabout in Galliagh.
The incident happened shortly after 7 pm on last Thursday evening, June 9.
A SAAB 95 car carrying a couple and their daughter hit the roundabout at the Skeoge Link Road.
All three occupants were taken to Altnagelvin Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle, a 55-year-old man, was arrested at the scene under the Road Traffic (NI) Order for a number of motoring offences.
He was taken to Strand Road police station for questioning and has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
PSNI inspector Jonny Hunter appealed for any witnesses to the crash to contact the police.
“Police investigating a one vehicle road traffic collision on the Skeoge Road, Derry on Thursday, 9 June have arrested a 55 year old man.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of the Skeoge Road at around 7.25pm and may have witnessed this incident to contact Police at Strand Road on the non-emergency number 101.”
