THERE was a fantastic turnout last night to protest against the rising tide of anti-social behaviour in Galliagh.
The rally – held at White Chapel – was organised by the Galliagh Community Empowerment.
It follows ongoing incidents of anti-social behaviour in Galliagh in recent days, weeks and months.
On Thursday night, a car was abandoned and set on fire in Ballyarnett County Park.
A car was torched in the Skeoge Road area the previous night.
The GCE says on its Facebook page: “Thank you to the amazing people of Galliagh for the turn out tonight (Friday).
“Again you have done us all proud.
“I’d like to say a special thank you to the resident who shared their story with us, to hear your kind words has inspired us to make sure this is a success.
“The community standing together is what makes this work so proud to say we live in Galliagh.”
