DETECTIVES in Derry are investigating a brutal paramilitary attack in the city last night.
The probe by the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Crime Branch was launched after a man in his 20s was assaulted by a number of men.
The men forced their way into a house in the Glenowen area at around 11.00 pm on Tuesday night and set upon their victim.
As a result, the man sustained injuries to his legs.
Detectives are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information regarding the attack to contact them at Strand Road Police station on 101 quoting reference number 1677 12/07/16.
