A crowdfunding page set up to help pay for the funeral of two year old Ronan McGavigan has now raised almost £4,000.
The fantastic amount of money raised so far came on the day the young toddler was laid to rest in Derry by his heartbroken parents Laura and John.
The initial target was £1,000 set by Tina Divin..
But thanks to the generosity and support of over 200 donors, that figure has gone up by 400 per cent to just under £4,000
The present total is £3,846 but money is still coming in and people can donate as little or as much as they want.
Among those contributing to the fund was Creggan-born footballer James McClean.
Big hearted James and his new bride Erin donated £1,000 to the fund..

n his homily Fr. Eamon Graham said the focus was on supporting Ronan’s family in this most difficult of times for them.
“Last Sunday was a lovely sunny day, a day when our delight was to see and hear our children playing. Nothing could be more joyful or more uplifting.
“In an instant the day of happiness was turned upside down and little Ronan lost his life. His family greatly appreciate the emergency services and medical help on Sunday.
“In these past days we have all come to know the character that Ronan was, full of love, full of joy and with a good helping of rascality which endeared him to all.”
