TWO people have been arrested today in Derry as police continue a crack down on car crime in the city.
The investigation stretched over the border into Donegal.
A police spokesperson said: “Two cars were stolen in the Culmore and a Local Policing Team made two arrests within the hour.
“Both cars were recovered with assistance from An Garda Siochana and information from the public.”
There has been a spate of car crime incidents across Derry in recent weeks and months.
Residents in Galliagh and Ballymagroarty have set community groups to show their anger at the ongoing car crime and anti-social behaviour by youths in the areas.
