BREAKING NEWS…TWO YOUNG MEN DIE IN CRASH ON DERRY TO LETTERKENNY ROAD

gardaaccidentTWO young men have tragically lost their lives this morning after a car crash on the dual carriageway between Derry and Letterkenny.

The exact circumstances of the crash is not known but it is understood a car and a van collided in the early hours of this morning.

The two young men who died, both of whom are in their 20s, are from the Letterkenny area.

Gardai are at the scene and the two men’s bodies are also still believed to be there.

A major investigation into the cause of the crash and the circumstances leading up to it are now underway.

Derry Daily understands that the car in which the men were travelling was on the wrong side of the dual carriageway at the time of the impact.

The road has been closed between the Manor and Dry Arch roundabouts and diversions are place.

Gardai are  expected to issue a full statement later about the accident..
