DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Crime Branch have released a Co Derry man arrested over a cocaine dealing racket.
The 36-year-old was detained in the Claudy area on Wednesday night following the search of a house in the area.
Detective Inspector Tom McClure said: “The man has been arrested as part of the investigation into the seizure of a quantity of high purity cocaine.
“It was seized from a vehicle stopped by police on the Dundrod Road at Nutts Corner on Friday 20th November 2015.
“The man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a class A drug and is currently in custody assisting officers with our enquiries.”
Following 24 hours of questioning under the 1971 Misuse of Drugs Act, detectives have this afternoon released him on bail pending further police inquiries.
A 53 year old male from the Coleraine area was charged in November 2015 over the seizure.
A 31 year old male from the Portstewart area was charged in June 2016 in relation to this incident.
