Dove House Community Trust targeted in paint bomb attack
VANDALS have targeted a community resource centre in Derry’s Bogside.
It is not the first time that Dove House has been attacked.
The latest on the building in Meenan Square is the second time it has been targeted in the past few weeks.
Sinn Fein Cll Patricia Logue condemned those carried out the paint attack.
“This is a disgraceful attack and has happened as Dove House and other community groups in the area get ready for the Gasyard Féile providing dozens of events for local people young and old,” she said.
“The continued attacks on this vital community facility just seem to be relentless and are having a terrible impact on the staff there being able to provide the many services they do.
“There is also a cost to each time these acts of criminal damage are carried out and that cannot go on indefinitely without impacting on the budgets of the services provided,” added Cllr Logue.
