Co Derry rower Alan Campbell misses out in medal in light weight double sculls at Rio 2016

THERE has been disappointment for Co Derry rower Richard Chambers at the Rio Olympics this afternoon.

He may have won silver in London four years ago, but Coleraine rower Richard Chambers will not be getting another this year.

Richard and Great Britain teammate Will Fletcher have not made the final in the lightweight double sculls.

They were edged out by Irish pair Paul and Gary O’Donovan, who came third in the semi-final.
