THE PSNI will watch over a a hunger strike commemoration held in Derry this afternoon for Mickey Devine.
The parade is being organised by the Irish Republican Socialist Movement.
It is being held to mark the 35th anniversary of the death Devine who was known as ‘Red Mickey’.
A founding member of the INLA, Devine was the last of the 10 republicans men to die while on hunger strike in Long Kesh.
The march will leave the former Rosemount Factory building at 1.30 pm.
It will then make its to the Republican Socialist plot in the City Cemetery.
The parade will also commemorate INLA members from across Derry and Tyrone who died during the Troubles.
Police will use CCTV cameras to record the parade for any possible paramilitary displays.

Days earlier, as her remains were brought to her Templegrove home in the Buncrana Road area from a funeral parlour, masked men fired shots over her coffin.
Around a dozen men and women were later arrested for questioning about the wearing of paramilitary clothing.
