SINN Féin Councillor Sandra Duffy has welcomed the announcement by Health Minister Michelle O’Neill that she is establishing a strategic Health Partnership Forum with Trade Union colleagues.
She said: “I welcome the establishment of a Health Partnership Forum.
“Since my party colleague Michelle O’Neill took over as Health Minister she has shown that she is interested in hearing ideas from the grass roots and make changes where possible based on those ideas.
“We need all relevant partners to provide strategic influence in both policy development and service delivery in the face of pressures as a result of Tory austerity.
“An agreed approach on the way forward will ensure that everyone is behind the reshaping and refocusing of our services.
“It will also ensure a better health and social care experience for the public,” added Cllr Duffy.
