Restaurant Group Frankie & Benny’s to shut Derry outlet following difficult trading times

SINN Féin Councillor Christopher Jackson has described the news that Frankie & Benny’s is to close its Waterside outlet as a “blow to the local hospitality sector”.

He said: “News that Frankie & Benny’s is to close its outlet on Crescent Link is a blow to the local hospitality sector.

“Those employed by the restaurants in Derry and elsewhere will rightly be concerned about the closure.

“The loss of these jobs would be a  blow to the Waterside area and the local economy.

“Management should ensure that staff are kept informed of developments and opportunities for relocation or redeployment should be offered if possible.”
