A MASSIVE search has been taking place this evening for a missing person just off the Isle of Doagh.
It is understood the man is from Co Derry and is aged in his late 50s.
The Isle of Doagh, which is well known for the famine village, is located on the Inishowen peninsula.
The coastguard and lifeboats have been out searching for the person who is believed to have been missing for over 24 hours.
Local reports say the man had been camping in the area at the time.
Two units form RNLI from Buncrana RNLI, two units of Greencastle Coastguard and a shore search team from Greencastle Coastguard as well as Gardai have been taking part in the search.
The Rescue 118 helicopter from Sligo was also involved using infra red equipment to see if it could pick up any body beat.
With fading light, the search will resume in the morning at first light.
