DETECTIVES are investigating after a 40-year-old man was injured in a dissident republican paramilitary shooting in Derry, last night.
Police say officers received a report at around 10.35 pm on Monday that a man had been shot in both ankles at Culdaff Gardens in the Creggan area of the city.
It is believed that four masked men were involved in the paramilitary-style attack.
The victim was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital for treatment.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Detectives at Strand Road PSNI station have appealed for anyone with information about the attack to call them on the 101 number.
