A SEARCH will resume this morning for a missing man just off the Isle of Doagh in Donegal.
It is understood the man is from Co Derry and is aged in his late 50s.
The Isle of Doagh, which is well known for the famine village, is located on the Inishowen peninsula.
A massive search was launched last night around 6 pm after the alarm was raised.
The coastguard and lifeboats have been out searching for the person who is believed to have been missing since last night, Tuesday, August 31.
Local reports say the man had been camping in the area at the time.
Two units form RNLI from Buncrana RNLI, two units of Greencastle Coastguard and a shore search team from Greencastle Coastguard as well as Gardai took part in last night’s search.
The Rescue 118 helicopter from Sligo was also involved using infra red equipment to see if it could pick up any body heat.
With fading light, the search was called last night.
