POLICE say a man has died following an early morning collision in Derry.
The man, aged in his 40s, died following a road crash on the outskirts of the city.
The accident happened around 12.50 am on the Clooney Road.
A man and a woman, both aged in their 50s, were taken to Altnagelvin Hospital.
But their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The collision involved a silver Ford Ka and a grey Peugeot 308.
The Clooney Road remains closed while the crash scene is examined.
Police at Strand Road have appealed for anyone with information contact them on the 101 non-emergency number.
The road is currently closed and diversions are in place.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.
