DERRY’S Jason Smyth has his won his 100m T13 Heat booking a place in today’s final.
The Englinton sprinter is now the fastest paralympian on the planet after his massive display in Rio.
Jason finished 1st in heat one of the T13 100m a in time of 10.76 seconds.
The Derry athlete looked comfortable as he aims to secure a third consecutive Paralympic 100m gold at the Rio Games.
The final takes place later today at 3.09 pm.
The whole of Derry is rooting for Jason to clinch another gold for Ireland.
