DERRY City have been draw away against Cup holders Dundalk in the semi-final of the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup.
The draw was made live on RTE’s Morning Ireland programme.
Kenny Shiels’s side will face Dundalk on the weekend of October 2.
It will be a tough game as Dundalk are league holders and the current league leades.
But the fixture could favour Derry as it is another game in Dundalk’s hectic schedule.
As well as facing Derry in the semi-final, Dundalk are also have European fixtures to complete.
The other semi-final sees form team Cork City travel to St Patrick’s Athletic.
Cork booked their place in the drawn with a 5-0 thrashing of Shamrock Rovers in Tallaght.
The draw keeps alive the chances of a repeat of last season’s final between the Rebels and Dundalk.
Both games will take on that weekend of 2 October with both games screened live on RTÉ Television.
