POLICE are on the trail of a suspect following an assault on a man in Derry.
The PSNI say that at around 2.10 am on Saturday, September 10, a 25 year old man was assaulted by an unknown male in the city centre’s High Street.
The victim was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital for treatment to his injuries but they are not thought to be life threatening.
The attacker is described as being around 6’ tall, of thin build and was wearing a white T-shirt and jeans.
The PSNI are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the attack to contact police at Strand Road station on the 101 non-emergency number.
They should quote the reference number 1320 20/09/16.
