THE PSNI have nabbed another car thief in Derry – making the streets that little bit safer for other drivers and pedestrians.
The news was delivered on the PSNI’s Foyle Facebook page this evening.
An officer wrote: “So, Saturday night Ballyarnett Neighbourhood Team were cruising down Glengalliagh Road looking as cool as always when a car drives past and the driver gives us ‘the look’.
“It can only be described as the “Hello Officer, What A Lovely Evening We Are Having, I Have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING To Hide!” look
“Needless to say I spun round and followed him. He started to speed up down Fern Road and I thought; maybe he is a chocoholic like me and just needs to get home to his Dairy Milk and Cup of Tea ☕️
“He turns into Altcar, turns again and drives all the way to the end and straight into a parked car! I think; that’s a little suspicious
“I drive right behind and block that bad boy in and low and behold out friend ends up arrested for:
• Aggravated Taking and Driving Away
• Driving Whilst Unfit
• Disqualified Driving
• No Insurance
amongst other offences.
“To top it off he was in Court ⚖ this morning as he was also Wanted on a Bench Warrant!”
