STRABANE’S Alley Theatre is set to take a ghostly turn later this month as the Arts Academy prepare to bring a ‘Spook House Panto’ to the town just in time for Halloween!
Following the success of the smash hit ‘Gutz the musical’, composer David Oliver and producer Gerry Strawbridge will combine the skills of the Arts Academy students with the best in local talent, who will be supported by live music from the academy’s sensational house band bringing a fun-filled, colourful Halloween special for all.
The ‘creepy comedy’ is written by Billy St. John and will be directed by Eileen McGarrigle.
From Thursday 27th October until Saturday 29th October, the panto which is part of Derry City and Strabane District’s Council’s ‘Out of this World’ 2016 Halloween programme for the city and district will transform the theatre into an eerie world of spooky goings on for all the family.
David Oliver said the group are excited to bring the production to Strabane just ahead of Halloween.
‘It will be a fun filled family show with comedy, singing and dancing. We’re encouraging everyone to come along in fancy dress as they’ll be spot prizes given for the best Halloween costume of audience members.’
The ‘Spooky Panto’ will take place at the Alley Theatre from Thursday 27th October until Saturday 29th October.
There will be evening performances each night from 7.30pm and a matinee show on Saturday from 3.00 pm.
