SINN Féin Councillor Eric McGinley has welcomed the launch of the Outer West Mental Health Charter.
Cllr McGinley said: “The Charter is the first of its kind and represents a community model which will share and deliver the good practices and knowledge to other communities across the city and district.
“The collaboration between the Outer West Health Forum and the Western Health & Social Care Trust has demonstrated what can be achieved when statutory agencies and community organisations work together to address a common need.
“The speakers at the launch eloquently described their experiences of working within and being affected by mental ill health.
“The key message which will be carried from the launch is Hope for All; Respect, Strength, Inclusiveness and the right to Dignity in Mental Health,” he added.
