SINN Féin MEP Martina Anderson will host a major conference on disability rights later this year.
The Sinn Féin MEP said: “As vice chair of the European Parliament’s intergroup on disability, I will be hosting a major international conference on disability rights later this year.
“The ‘United for Rights’ conference will be held in the Carrickdale hotel, Carrickarnon on December 4.
“It will bring together a range of experts to discuss issues around inclusion and dignity for people with disabilities.
“We will also look at current rights provision and how those rights could be threatened by Brexit and the British government’s plans to scrap the Human Rights Act.
“It is vitally important that the rights of people with disabilities is protected and I’m looking forward to this event to inform future policy decisions.”
