A new Jamie Oliver Food Tube video featuring Derry has gone live.
The seven-minute film is Tourism Ireland’s latest promotion to highlight Northern Ireland and our special Year of Food and Drink.
Last month, Tourism Ireland invited chef and Fifteen apprentice Kerryann Dunlop to come and film in Derry.
In the film, viewers see Kerryann in the city’s Craft Village, baking a barmbrack using a traditional Halloween recipe.
The video also features footage of the city, with Kerryann out and about meeting local people on the historic city walls and in front of the Guildhall.
It also highlights the upcoming Banks of the Foyle Halloween Festival.
This is the third Food Tube video to be created in conjunction with Tourism Ireland. Earlier this year, a video showcasing Fermanagh and featuring chef and broadcaster John Quilter was unveiled.
The second film featured Dutch chef Bart van Olphen, showcasing Glenarm Organic Salmon and the beautiful Antrim coastline.
With some 22 million monthly views, Jamie Oliver’s Food Tube is one of the most successful food channels – and a superb platform to showcase Derry and the wonderful culinary experience on offer here for overseas visitors.
This latest video will be promoted on Food Tube’s social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, using #EnjoyNI.
This promotion is just one element of Tourism Ireland’s busy programme of activity throughout 2016 to highlight Northern Ireland’s Year of Food and Drink.
A specially created section on Tourism Ireland’s international website, Ireland.com, (which attracted 16.6 million views in 2015) is also encouraging prospective visitors everywhere to come and “take a bite out of Northern Ireland”.
