IT is one of the magical wonders of the world – the Northern Lights.
Now the Met Office say Derry along with many parts of the North West may get to see the spectacular Aurora Borealis as forecasters call it.
But a lot will depend on the weather and if cloud cover can stay away for clear skies at night.
The Met Office have said that a number of factors have contributed to an increased likelihood in sightings.
Its down to a combination of magnetic field activity, solar developments and clearer autumnal skies.
