Derry Mayor Hilary McClintock enjoying the Hallowe’en celebrations
TENS of thousands of people took to the streets of Derry city centre tonight for the city’s annual Hallowe’en ‘Out of This World’ celebrations.
Throngs of people lined the route of the carnival parade ahead of a spooktacular fireworks display.
The Hallowe’en festivities are now in their 30th year.
Derry was last year voted the best place in the world for its Hallowe’en celebrtions.
And tonight the city didn’t disappoint with a huge carnival of colour snaking its way through the city’s street before a fantastic fireworks display finale on the banks of the River Foyle.
And the party will be continuing long into Tuesday morning with revellers packing the local pubs and clubs.
Mayor Hilary McClintock tweeted: “Breathtaking display of colour, music and dance at the 2016 Halloween parade.
“Congratulations to everyone involved.”
