SINN Féin Councillor Patricia Logue has called for street lights in the vicinity of a flats complex at Lisfannon Park just opposite Free Derry Wall to be fixed as a matter of urgency.
Councillor Logue said; “There are a high number of street lights out in this section of Lisfannon Park around the flats complex.
“The clocks went back at weekend and we will be entering very dark nights and mornings and when the street lights are out around your home it can be very frightening.
“There is also the whole security and safety aspect of a living in a block of flats.
“I have contacted the Housing Executive and raised my concerns to see if these lights can be fixed before the onset of winter,” she added.
