SINN Féin MEP Martina Anderson will travel to Colombia next week to take part in a conference on the country’s ongoing peace process.
Speaking ahead of the visit, Ms Anderson said: “I will be visiting Colombia next week to take part in a major international conference which will discuss the continuing peace process.
“The conference will hear from senior representatives of the Colombian government, as well as former members of FARC and also from a range of international experts in peace and conflict resolution.
“Sinn Féin have long been supporters of the Colombian peace process and several Sinn Féin representatives travelled to Colombia and Cuba in recent years to support the peacemaking efforts.
“We will continue to support the ongoing process to secure a just and sustainable peace in Colombia.”
