crime-alert-300x220BALLMAGROARTY Community Empowerment are warning parents to alert their children to a vehicle acting suspiciously in the area.

The warning was sounded after the mother of a teenage girl alerted the community group to an incident in Galliagh at the weekend.

She said: “Two fellas in their 30s followed my 15-year-old daughter and her friend.

“He stopped the car a few times and asked for something dirty to be done to him.

“My daughter and her friend really freaked out.

“They didn’t the get the reg…the car drove off when a man was walking in her direction…this was around the C0-op.”

BCE advise: “Folks keep an eye out and make sure your children are safe.

“Make them aware that this car is about and if they are approached run to the nearest house or away.

“Stay safe out there.”
