SINN Féin MEP Martina Anderson has launched a booklet to help community groups apply for EU funding.

Speaking ahead of the launch of the booklet in Belfast, Ms Anderson said;

“Communities across the North have benefited from EU funding which has helped build and develop our society.

“This document is about helping community groups and other maximise the funding opportunities that continue to exist in Europe in the time ahead.

“Given the British government’s apparent determination to take us out of the EU despite the democratic wishes of the people in the North, it is important that groups get their applications in as soon as possible.

“Groups also need to voice their opposition to the British government’s Brexit agenda and and lobby the Irish government to stand up for Ireland’s national interest and explore opportunities to Brexit which would afford the north designated special status within the EU.”
