Traffic and travel pic 2POLICE say a woman has been taken to hospital after she had to be cut free from a car this afternoon in Derry.

Firefighters were called to the scene of a crash involving two cars and a van on the Skeoge Road.

The road, which had been closed between Ballyarnett Roundabout at its junction with Racecourse Road and Glenabbey Road junction, has since reopened.

Fire crews using hydraulic equipment freed the woman from her Ford car.

She was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital but her injuries are not believed to be serious.

Police inquiries are continuing into the accident.
