A 52 year old man arrested in Derry yesterday as part of an investigation into human trafficking and associated offences has been released freed from custody.
The suspect was detained in the city on Wednesday morning by officers from the PSNI’s Human Trafficking Unit.
The suspect taken to Coleraine police station for questioning.
Three properties in the city – suspected of operating as brothels – were also searched as part of the investigation.
Detective Inspector Mark Bell of the Human Trafficking Unit added: “Enquiries are continuing”.
The suspect has now been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
