PRISON officers at Magilligan jail in Co Derry have backed possible industrial action.
Colleagues at the top security Maghaberry prison have also supported a day of strike action at the Co jail.
But warders at Hydebank Young Offenders Centre and women’s prison didn’t back possible industrial action up to and including strike,
The Prisoner Officers’ Association carried out the ballot to gauge what support their would be among members for some for of industrial action.
The POA say their members have not got the pay they were promised and are overstretched in the three jails.
