SINN Féin Councillor Patricia Logue has welcomed news that the renewal process for Blue Badge holders with life-long mobility issues is to be reviewed.
She said: “I welcome the announcement by my colleague and Infrastructure Minister Chris Hazzard that he will review the renewal process for Blue Badge holders with life-long mobility issues.
“There is no doubt the renewal process should be adjusted for badge holders who have conditions which are unlikely to change.
“Hopefully the review will produce a simpler, more accessible application process for those applicants with life-long mobility issues.
“I would encourage all those in Derry with an interest to take part in the consultation process that will begin early in 2017,” she added.
