DERRY fire crews were called out at the weekend to help their counterparts in Donegal deal with a crash.
A Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Northland, Crescent Link and Strabane responded to a request for assistance from Camp West Control Room to attend a road traffic collision involving two cars near Porthall village, Lifford, Donegal.
“Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to release an 80-year-old woman and a 16-year-old man from one car.
“A 60-year-old man and a 26-year-old man were out of the vehicles on arrival of FRS.
“All four casualties were taken to hospital by ambulance.”
