CONCERN OVER IMPACT OF INCREASE IN CAR PARKING FEES AT MAGEE CAMPUS

SINN Féin Councillor Mickey Cooper said there is concerns about the the news that the University of Ulster Magee has increased the price of  car parking on its site.

Councillor Mickey Cooper said: “There are concerns in the local community that this increase in car parking prices could have a knock on effect in the areas surrounding the University with the problems caused by on street parking.

“I have been working with the University, residents, Transport NI, PSNI and the parking attendants on an ongoing basis to resolve the many issues caused by the problems with on street parking.

“And I will be closely monitoring the situation with these increases in prices.”
