DOUBLE TROUBLE FOR COLUM EASTWOOD AS HE AND WIFE RACHAEL EXPECTING TWINS

Rachael and Colum Eastwood who are expecting twins later this year

IT NEVER rains but it pours for our politicians.

Take SDLP leader Colum Eastwood for example.

Yesterday, the Foyle MLA was put back on election footing after Martin McGuinness announced he was quitting as deputy first minister over the ‘cash-for-ash’ scandal.

And with Brexit just around the corner in March, he will have his hands full on the political front trying to secure his party more seats in the Assembly if and when an election is called.

Now his hands will be even more full with the announcement that he and his wife Rachael are expecting later this year.

So it will be a busy few months in the Eastwood household on both the family and the election front.

We wish them warmest the congratulations on their good news.
