SOUTH Derry striker Eoin Bradley was stretchered off yesterday after he collided with a post during his Coleraine team’s game in the Danske Bank Premiership.
The game between Coleraine and Portadown was halted for 18 minutes as medics worked on the Irish League player.
The 33-year-old – known to friends as ‘Skinner’ – was taken to Causeway Hospital from the Coleraine showgrounds by ambulance.
He was taken off the pitch to a round of applause from both sets of fans.
Coleraine Football Club later confirmed on Twitter that Bradley “suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung”.
“We wish him a speedy recovery,” the club added.
Bradley returned to Coleraine last week after a two and a half year stint at Glenavon.
Coleraine defeated Portadown 4-2 to take all three points.
The 33 year old hails from Kilrea and also plays Gaelic football with Glenullin GAC with whom he won a Derry Senior Football Championship.
‘Skinner’ also won a National League title with Derry’s county team.
