DETECTIVES are hunting a man armed with a screwdriver who robbed a shop in Co Derry.
The man demanded money from staff at the premises in the Garvagh Road area of Kilrea at around 10.15 pm on Saturday night.
He made off with a sum of cash, in the direction of an alleyway leading to Beechview Gardens.
The man is described as being about 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build and he was wearing latex gloves, a balaclava, a hat, a black hooded top and dirty blue jeans.
PSNI Detective Sergeant Kelly Gallagher said: “I would ask anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact detectives at Coleraine Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
