DERRY group The MindBenders are in touch with the PSNI in the hope of getting reunited with music gear.
It comes after police in Derry were conducted a house search in the city when came across a haul
Last September, the group took to Facebook in an appeal for help in the tracing their gear.
They wrote: “Folks we are asking for your help. Someone saw fit to take these from our van whilst parked up between Saturday afternoon 17 Sep and Thursday 22 Sep (2016)
“Please share amongst your friends, musicians, local music shops, exchange shops etc etc.
“And obviously if you’re offered any of these in slightly strange circumstances or see new ads on the various outlets please let us know.
2 JBL PRX 715 active speaker with covers. Can be quickly identified by the custom cover that fits over the control knobs.
1 zeck active speaker with a grey cover. Think it was a vector t13. It’s a 12 inch anyway.
1 Yamaha MG16xu mixer in a Northwest Flightcases custom made case
1 boss GT6 guitar and 1 GT6B bass effects units both in black fitted gig bags
A black toolbox was also taken which contained guitar leads, an active DI box and a couple of sm58’s, one was a beta.
Finally one large hold-all with mic, leads, speaker leads with speakons, some power boards and mains leads.”
And over the weekend, the PSNI recovered a haul of suspected stolen music equipment during a raid on a house in Derry.
This included:
The stolen items are picture above and the description of the sound system/DJ system is as follows:
1 x Yahama MG16XU Mixing console & case (Blue)
1 x Boss GT-6B Bass effect processor (pedals) (red) & black Gator bag
2 x JBL PRX715 Amps/Speakers & black covers
1 x Zeck Vector T3 A Amp/speaker
If you know who owns it please phone police in Derry on the 101 and quote ref no. 187 12/01/17.
Since posting these pictures, police have been contacted by The Mindbenders to say they believe that the equipment it recovered may be their stolen gear.
We wish them all the best in getting reunited with their gear.
