A DEVASTATED mum has appealed for help from the public in Derry in a search to find her son.
Jack Hester fell into the Foyle River on Thursday.
Police closed the Foyle Bridge for a time following the incident but re-opened it later on.
Searches so far have been unable to find 24-year-old Jack.
Now his mum wants anyone who is free tomorrow, Saturday, to help in the search for Jack.
People are asked to gather at the former Ebrington barracks beside the Peace Bridge at 7.30 am where the search is being o-ordinated from.
In a message on her Facebook page tonight, Hester made an emotional appeal:
“PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE would yous all help me 2morrow and find my jack And BRING HIM BACK HOME 2ME.#
“I want 2 thank everybody who has helped us on the search so far,,, his heart broken mother Hester.”
