THE PSNI’s Derry City & Strabane District Support Team (DST) have reported a “busy weekend” tackling crime across its patch.
PSNI Foyle say: “A number of house searches were conducted in relation to drugs offences.
“As a result of these searches, a quantity of Class B & C drugs were seized with an estimated street value of between £5,000-£10,000.
“Five individuals were also arrested with two later being remanded into custody after appearing in Court.
“Another DST crew also observed a vehicle which was driving erratically on the Crescent Link.
“The vehicle was stopped with assistance of LPT2 officers.
“The driver was arrested by LPT officers on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs and having no insurance.
“The vehicle was also seized due to it being driven on a road whilst uninsured.
