DERRY City have bolstered their team again with the signing of Mikhail Kennedy.
The Derry-born Charlton FC forward has signed on a five month loan deal.
Kennedy had been strongly linked with a move to Derry earlier this week but at one point it looked as though the move had fallen through.
Even manager Kenny Shiels was dismissing talk of the signing.
But he finally got his man today and Kennedy will be an important signing for the club in helping to hit the ground running in the new SSE Airtricity Premier division which kicks off soon.
Derry drew too many games last season.
Now this young forward, could be the answer to Kenny Shiels’ prayers.
Kennedy has played most of his football with Charlton’s U23s recently.
He has scored five goals in two games, including a hat trick against Ipswich Town.
The loan spell at Derry could benefit both Kennedy and the Candy Stripes.
