SINN Féin’s Elisha McCallion has welcomed the news that 80 new jobs will created with the opening of a major retail store at the former B&Q site on the Buncrana Road.
The Foyle Assembly candidate said: “There was much disappointment in the city last year when the former B&Q business closed down here with the loss of many local jobs.
“It’s now great to see this site coming back into use and the retail company The Range creating up to 80 jobs.
“This announcement comes just week weeks before Home Bargains is to open a brand new store on the Strand Road creating 100 jobs.”
