POLICE are currently at the scene of a security alert in Derry.
A spokesperson said: “We are dealing with the discovery of a suspicious object in the Ardanlee area.
“A number of homes have been evacuated.”
British Army Technical Officers have been tasked to the scene.
There are no further details at present.
