James Kielt helped keep Derry in contention
DERRY trail by five points to Kildare after the first half at a wet Celtic Park in the Allianz League.
It had been pretty much honours even after the first 15 minutes of the game with the match tied at 0-06 to 0-06.
But a Christy Bryne strike not long after gave Kildare the opening goal of the game.
James Kielt helped keep the Oak Leafers in contention but Doire will need to up their game int he second half to claw back a five point margin.
