THE WESTERN Trust said its Stroke Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital was delighted to receive a generous donation of two guest beds and colouring books from the Kennedy family, near Claudy.
Mr and Mrs Kennedy recently celebrated their Golden anniversary and asked for no personal gifts but donations instead.
In 2013, Mr Kennedy spent some time in Altnagelvin’s Stoke Unit, and the family wanted to thank the unit for the excellent care he received.
From the money raised the family purchased two guest beds for relatives of patients staying in the unit and a variety of colours books and colouring pencils.
In addition to donating to the Stroke Unit, the Kennedy family also gave £100.00 to Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke
