POLICE in Derry are appealing for witnesses to a fire at a flat in the Glendara area of the city around 6.30 am yesterday morning, Saturday, March 4
No-one was in the property at the time.
Detective Inspector Michael Winters said: “We are investigating the circumstances surrounding this fire which caused extensive damage to an upstairs flat.
“We would ask anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Glendara area early this morning to get in touch with detectives at Strand Road on the non-emergency police number 101, quoting reference 240 of 4/3/17.
“Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
